When your best friend invites you to a show at London Fashion Week, you're gonna say YES! This year I was fortunate enough to fulfil this huge dream of mine. I've been to LFW before and managed to get into a few small shows but this year I received a formal invitation to see one of the top British fashion designers reveal his collection, which was incredibly exciting and an absolute privilege. Julien MacDonald's Spring/Summer 2017 collection had glamour and edge with risqué cut-outs, detailed embellishments and feminine silhouettes.
As we waited to get inside the venue we were able to see all the celebs making their entrance with the bright flashes of the paparazzi cameras behind them. Rosie Fortescue, Thom Evans, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Tom Daley and so many more making their way inside and we were soon to join them. We were greeted by Prosecco and lovely treats from Ping Pong who were collaborating with Julien for LFW. We made our way to our amazing seats on the ground floor, the fourth row, sat just behind Mark-Francis from Made In Chelsea. There was such a buzz and excitement (mainly from me) in the venue, with everyone making their way to their seats. With the perfect view of the show, we were able to see the models as soon as they made their way onto the catwalk.
The lovely Hailey Baldwin made a surprise appearance and opened and closed the show.
I also had a cheeky little look behind the scenes after the show.
This lady right here, my best bud, my partner in crime is the amazing person who got me the invitation to the show and helped me fulfil one of my dreams. So go give her a follow @_christinatheofanous.
