My Top 5 Picks From LFW || A/W18
As London Fashion Week has drawn to a close, I think it's only right that I indulge you with my top five favourite shows. It has been a week packed full of eclectic and diverse fashion that London never fails to deliver. I may be slightly biased but I have to say, when it comes to fashion week, London does it best. From Christopher Baileys final bow as chief executive for Burberry to a surprise appearance from the Queen herself, you can definitely say it's been an eventful fashion week. So without further ado, here are my top picks...
Ashley Williams A/W18 collection was like an 80s dream for me. Her colourful collection consisted of all the bleached denim you could ask for and feminine black lace dresses contrasted with the boxy, double-breasted two piece. Definitely my favourite collection from the week!
Christopher Kane has always been a designer I admired. I'm so drawn to unusual pattern cutting over prints any day and Kane has delivered! His use of, what like to call, the "modern leg of mutton" sleeve creates such beautiful silhouettes.
Erdem have seriously brought those romantic vibes! It's a collection filled to the brim with elegant gowns and their use of deep florals and rich velvets is just so stunning.
Bora Aksu is a designer I've never come across before but oh my, I'm ecstatic I did *insert eye heart emoji here*. His designs are so feminine, light and just an absolute joy to look at.
I couldn't not include Burberry in my top five. So here it is! When you hear of Burberry you just think, quintessentially British. For Christopher Bailey's last show he presented us with the best of British fashion. His use of the classic Burberry tartan, clashing patterns and oversized everything is exquisite!
All the love Hx
